Formal NYC Church Wedding for 25 Guests
There's something about New York City that grabs my heart and won't let go. No matter how many times I visit that place, the excitement and energy never quite wears off, and it only made sense these two New Yorkers set their Big Day in the magical city they call home. Hillary and Scott were originally meant to get married in June 2020 but Covid had them push it to late August. As their rescheduled date drew closer, they decided that they didn’t want to wait any longer to be married, so they forged ahead with the new date and cut down their guest list to just 25 people. They married in a sweet ceremony at St. Paul’s German Lutheran Church with only their family and their nearest and dearest. With the help of the team at LOLI Events, the reception which was originally planned as a large sit down dinner inside in The Refectory was moved to an intimate outdoor cocktail affair in the courtyard of The High Line Hotel with socially distanced tables. Denise Fasanello Flowers created gorgeous greenery and floral installations on the stairs in the outdoor courtyard which really elevated the space. Kylee Yee came on board to photograph from beginning to end, and I'm convinced micro weddings are the way forward...
From the bride: "Something old, Something new, Something borrowed, Something blue" ... the conclusion of that phrase, which is often neglected is "and a silver sixpence in your shoe." On the evening before the wedding, my mom gifted me an antique sixpence, which we added to my shoe for added good luck!"
