At the height of hydrangea season, Caitlyn and Craig exchanged vows at Fox Hollow Farm surrounded by flourishing gardens, sweeping lawns, and the towering evergreens that define the Pacific Northwest. Their celebration brought together the elegance of a formal garden party with the landscape they wanted Craig's family, traveling from South Africa, to experience for the first time.

Blue became the thread that connected the entire design. Inspired by the hydrangeas in bloom throughout the property, the color appeared in thoughtful ways across the celebration, creating a soft, cohesive palette. One of the standout details was Caitlyn's veil, delicately embroidered with blue flowers that echoed the garden setting and added an unexpected layer of color to her bridal look.

Craig and Caitlyn's story began as friends after being introduced through Caitlyn's sister's now-husband. Over time, their friendship grew into a relationship, and Craig later proposed during a visit to a California winery. When planning their wedding, they wanted a venue that reflected both their style and their story. While they gravitate toward a polished, preppy aesthetic with classic East Coast influences, it was equally important to showcase the beauty of the Pacific Northwest for Craig's family. Fox Hollow Farm offered exactly that combination, pairing manicured gardens with a backdrop of towering trees.

Many of the day's most memorable details came from the time and care Caitlyn and her family invested in the guest experience. Caitlyn and her mother hand-embroidered every dinner napkin with an individual design, featuring meaningful symbols such as their dog Sterling, a glass of red wine, a mountain, and a ferry boat. Each place setting also included a handwritten note and a photograph of the guest, creating a warm and thoughtful welcome.

During cocktail hour, guests gathered on the lawn for croquet before the celebration moved indoors for the reception. Caitlyn and Craig shared a beautifully choreographed first dance on a striking black-and-white checkered dance floor, a detail that complemented the refined design of the evening.

Throughout the day, the couple embraced every opportunity to be present together rather than rushing from one moment to the next. As the evening drew to a close, they invited their guests outside before returning to the dance floor for one final song alone. With the celebration behind them and the room to themselves, they were able to pause, reflect, and end the day exactly as it began side by side.
