Heartfelt military wedding at The Olana in Texas

We love a heartwarming story, especially when it results in a beautiful wedding. Kyleigh and Alec won the use of their iconic Texas venue, The Olana, through Weddings for Warriors - a contest that gives away wedding venues to deserving military couples. Having overcome tremendous hurdles to finally plan their wedding, Kyleigh and Alec are certainly worthy of such a gift and we're excited to share their heartfelt wedding with you today. "Alec served his country and Kyleigh had battled some difficult health conditions, and went on to achieve her doctorate’s degree," explains their Texas wedding photographer and Fine Art Curation member, Jamie Park. "Their relationship was also long-distance for a long time. All of these factors created a tighter bond between the couple and their wedding day was the ultimate celebration of their story."

"Lauryn Lamb Events took the helm and executed every detail flawlessly so that every minute of the wedding day from start to finish flowed seamlessly. Roanoke Florist Events created lush floral arches and centerpieces to transform The Olana's stately rooms into beautiful gardens. Kyleigh wore a Lily Saratoga gown gifted to her through Brides Across America, an organization that provides military couples with secondhand gowns for free.

"Kyleigh grew up studying ballet and her impeccable poise shone during her bridal photos, especially those taken in the majestic white hallway of The Olana. I photographed their day with the intention of capturing all of the sentimental details that would stand out for decades to come, using hybrid photography with Kodak Porta and Canon 1v body as my go-to film photography gear. From getting ready to their grand exit, Kyleigh and Alec were glowing with love and intimacy - solidifying their commitment to each other and their future, come what may."
