By the following spring, they had moved in together, spending weekends wandering through Brooklyn with their dog, Sam. When Michio proposed in Prospect Park with Sam by their side and friends quietly watching from a distance, it felt like a natural continuation of a story that had unfolded with ease.
Originally from Australia, Michio and Kate, who is from the United States, chose Spain after falling in love with the country during a coastal road trip the summer they got engaged.
