Authentic Italian wedding at Villa Montanare in Tuscany
Gabriella and William knew they wanted to get married in Italy from the moment they first traveled to this beautiful country together. It was a long two and a half years of planning, but Gabriella embraced it all with gusto and planned every part of their authentic Italian wedding herself.
The couple choose the idyllic Villa Montanare near Cortona, Tuscany, to host a quintessential Italian wedding week for their family and friends, complete with a gelato cart, a Prosecco truck, stone fired pizzas and tables of charcuterie.
Destination wedding photographer, Amy Mulder Photography, tells us more about this special celebration: "Overlooking the Tuscan landscape for miles, Cortona was a perfect spot for Gabriella and William to welcome their friends and family to their Tuscany wedding celebration. They reserved a restaurant set atop of the centre, with glorious views and a picturesque sunset. For hours they enjoyed a wide variety of apƩritifs, before finally taking seats, hearing toasts and enjoying a four course meal. It was a time of laughter, reunion, and celebration.
"They brought their week celebration to a close with an intimate, 34 guest wedding at Villa Montanare, located just outside of Cortona. The ladies and the men took time to enjoy their morning together, until the afternoon came for their first look and wedding portraits. Villa Montanare has the most glorious olive trees, cypress trees and overall backdrop for the perfect Tuscan wedding portraits.
"The ceremony took place in the olive tree grove with a backdrop of the rolling hills. Gabriella and William wrote their own vows, which gave a beautiful insight to this beautiful couple. In true Tuscan form, the celebration that followed was all about people, food and tradition - the perfect end to a very special week."
