From Blue Note Weddings: "What magic lies in the sea? What a wonder that we can board a boat and sail upon that blue expanse of mystery! Is it not like love? The mysterious depths, the vast expanse, the timeless romance you feel with the wind on your face and sweeping views to gaze upon. A sailboat elopement offers an authentic and intimate experience without the loss of luxury. Unlike any other light you can find, the sunlight kissing the ocean offers a glimmer in the water reflecting flawlessly on film. It is by far my favorite place to capture love stories.
Sarah & Kenny initially had plans for a big gathering to celebrate their union. Like may couples, Covid put a different spin on things and they had to rearrange their plans. Being that the bride and groom were seasoned sailors the two decided on a quaint wedding ceremony at sea.
It was easy to get swept away by Sarah & Kenny. With the sweeping views of the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco’s city skyline and the mountains of Marin as our backdrop the couple was enveloped in beauty. We set out to sail the Bay on a foggy morning on the 42’ Beneteau. Our captain, the groom, confidently navigated the boat to calm waters. The two exchanged vows and rings on the stern of the boat as the sun peaked through the clouds. With a few of their closest friends and family to witness, the gorgeous pair exchanged vows with the gentle sounds of the waters surrounding them.
Sarah was exquisite in her fashionable Sarah Seven silhouette gown complimented with florals by Lori Bouret. Kenny dressed in a dapper tux with silver anchor cufflinks. The couple decided on keeping the styling minimal and classic allowing the organic blues of the ocean to be their main accent of color. The couple had an authentic and infectious connection that translated so well in their images bringing a timeless romance to the ocean."
