Woodsy wedding inspiration in a glasshouse

Jan 23, 2014 | Inspiration
After the huge success of our Retreat Gatherings engagement session yesterday we're flying high in a dream-like state toward even more fine art wedding inspiration (yes it's possible!). This bridal session (I know, amazing right?!) from tour de force duo Pearl & Godiva and Alexander James Photography encapsulates an ethereal, organic yet feminine work of art. The glasshouse location of the Village at Lyons is the perfect setting for this bride's vows coupled with epic floral style from Hanako. The blackberry tones with dusky pinks are perfect for any season and are so rich they add texture to the overall style. Can you imagine shooting styled shoots like this? Against an incredible backdrop? Get over to Pearl & Godiva's website ASAP and book your place on their next trip to Morocco to learn from Jen Huang, Lora Kelley and more! From Pearl & Godiva: "When Aine shyly proposed her mythical woodland wedding idea to us, we instantly fell in love with the richness and narrative that it would bring to her Big Day. We adore to create designs that have organic elements at it's heart, and with  evocative woodland imagery as the directive, the design came tumbling out of us. We wanted this wedding to be drenched in woodland elements, to bring the outside indoors, and create a rich visual language for their guests to enjoy. Berry toned florals, lush foliage, trailing jasmine, artichokes and gold skeleton leaves created a woody landscape. Our butter-soft canvas cloths and hand dyed muslin swathe the tables, and gold mica sprinkled the tables, like faery dust. Exquisite calligraphy was lovingly hand-lettered  to add richness and another layer to the design, with autumnal quotes and personal messages from Aine & Ray. Hundreds of hand-made candles burnt adding an ethereal glow."
