Today is a day of 'firsts' for Wedding Sparrow - we have our first featured elopement on the blog plus later today we are giving away our first ever wedding photography package worth $8,000 from Lauren Kinsey! This sweet Nevada elopement from Gaby J Photography isn't what you would expect from your usual Las Vegas wedding. No tacky strip location, no Elvis and no gambling. Instead, Casey and Mike went for a low key, romantic winery location in the vast desert. From Gaby: "This lovely wedding was held at a quaint little winery in Pahrump, NV in the United States... a town an hour and a 1/2 away from the Las Vegas strip. The bride and groom are from Oklahoma and planned this lovely elopement 3 weeks prior to their ceremony date. They wanted it held in Las Vegas because it's one of the party capitals of the world but Casey, the bride, didn't want the glitz, glam or an elvis impersonator when you think "Las Vegas" as apart of the setting for her wedding. Luckily, when you're a good 30 minutes from the strip, you're able to see the vast lands of the desert and it's natural beauty. Although, their wedding was planned in less than 3 weeks, it came out beautifully, simple, and intimate... just what they wanted."
