Thanksgiving wedding celebration in English countryside - Aaron Delesie Photography

Jun 26, 2013 | Weddings
We have an absolutely stunning wedding for you today at Babington House in Somerset by the talented Aaron Delesie. I've been a huge fan of Aaron's work for some time now and so when his email address popped up in my inbox I did all I could from doing a little schoolgirl dance around the office to celebrate. Then I saw the wedding he was submitting! Oy! Heather and Neal are not only the most stylish couple I have seen in a long time but they had a stunning wedding without compromising on the meaning of the day to them. They kept it personal and natural and kept their personalities shining throughout. Heather and Neal wanted an American Thanksgiving Wedding Celebration in the English Countryside. The décor from start to finish was relaxed, natural and filled with colors of the season and the countryside. They didn't want flowers brought in that were out of season or colors that clashed with the natural environment. Greens/blues/purple with touches of burgundy, antique pink and natural grass and lots and lots of candlelit spaces – from the candelabras lining out walk to the Church Alter to the tabletops at dinner. 0001 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography AaronDelesiespapool Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography AaronDelesieDuo5 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography 0144 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography 0159 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography 0091 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography From David Pressman Events ~ "Having a Thanksgiving wedding allowed Heather and Neal to capture the essence of what the holiday means to them, having loved ones gathered together. And the bonus was that everyone coming from the States already had the time off. The Babington House staff put together a wonderful bag for guests made up of sweet and savory snacks, along with bottles of local Somerset Cider and Walking maps of the beautiful countryside that Heather and Neal wanted their guests to be able to discover and explore. Their was early morning "clay pigeon" shooting for Neal, his groomsmen and family members who braved the cold. And for everyone their was the heated outdoor pool and access to the Cowshed Spa on the grounds when not off exploring the little shops and other attractions of the area." 0112 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography 0153 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography AaronDelesieDuo4 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography 0151 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography AaronDelesieDuo2 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography 0160 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography "Two very sentimental and special pieces of jewelry Heather wore were her grandmother's gold charm bracelet, and around her neck a Victorian-era compass on a long gold chain that Neal had given her for an earlier birthday. And each bridesmaid was given a midnight blue cashmere wrap from Heather's mother to wear with their Vera Wang bridesmaids gowns." 0167 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography 0274 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography 0310 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography AaronDelesieDuo3 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography 0316 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography "Their personal style and vision were seen by guests as they received the Save-the-Dates that had been designed by Neal and was the first indication that guests were going to be in for a very special and personal celebration. And Heather and Neal continued bringing a well thought out and executed individual style to every detail of the wedding celebration, from the standing candelabra's in the Church to the selection of each flower and all of the details that went into creating an incredibly personal and natural celebration from start to finish. Working with Flowers by Passion, Heather made sure that all the florals were natural to the incredible settings of both the 15th century St. Andrews Church in Mells, Somerset to Babington House. As guests left the celebration well into the next morning they were gifted with custom made Xmas tree ornaments as favors." 0324 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography 0355 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography 0360 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography 0373 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography AaronDelesieDuo1 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography 0443 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography 0454 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography 0458 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography 0464 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography "Heather might say that it's important that bride's and grooms put their own style into as many aspects of the wedding as possible. And I would add that finding the right photographer, the photographer who can capture your style and turn them into memories for generations to come ranks right up there too. In this case Heather and Neal found Aaron on their own and he turned out to be the perfect choice." 0509 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography AaronDelesieDuo6 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography AaronDelesiebridesmaids Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography 0556 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography 0536 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography 0574 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography "Heather only reached out to me after Neal and she had already done the heavy lifting. They had found a wedding site that spoke to them and to their incredible personalities. And having found the photographer, Church, florist, band, etc., and made the key decision that a Thanksgiving wedding in the English countryside was what they wanted to bring their family and friends together to experience with them, I came on board a few months before the wedding to help out with the logistics of getting people and things from point A to point B. And with Skype Heather and I were able to speak with each other regularly as we began to put together the timeline and help fill in little pieces here and there before I arrived in London a week or so before the actual wedding celebration was to begin." 0615 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography AaronDelesieDuo7 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography "When it comes to wedding budgets, brides and grooms must be realistic. In this case Heather and Neal were on top of all the expenses. A less involved couple would have needed the services of a professional planner to walk them through where each Pound or Dollar were being spent, and to perhaps offer alternatives and keep tabs on the budget and each item." 0633 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography AaronDelesieDuo9 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography 0667 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography 0694 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography 0772 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography 0699-2 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography "Heather began by checking out wedding websites, blogs and wedding magazines. And early on she and Neal had a developed a strong sense of what they didn't want their wedding to be - allowing their style, grace and charm to dictate everything that would follow in the process of creating their wedding." 0704a Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography 0729 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography AaronDelesiecouple Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography 0859 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography 0879 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography AaronDelesieDuo8 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography 0884 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography AaronDelesietablescape Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography 0900 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography 0902 Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography AaronDelesiecar Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography AaronDelesiepartybw Photography ~ Aaron Delesie Photography "It was their personalities that brought together the details of this wedding that their guest will never forget. From the classic double-decker red bus used to ferry guests from Babington House to and back from the Church to the surprise fireworks that light up the grounds and sky over the lush and beautiful grounds of Babington House and kicked off hours of fun dancing  with friends and family as the last colors fell from the sky."
