From photographer, Jennifer Hodder Photography: "I have always dreamt of doing a wedding shoot in Paris since the first time I ever set eyes on the city of love. After many years of planning later, I finally returned to do this romantic blush Parisian elopement at Le Musee Rodin.

I went to the antique market in Paris to acquire a few authentic items for styling this shoot. It was extremely hard not to purchase everything in sight! I ended up going with a vintage gold cameo brooch because it looked like something that might have been passed down and I wanted to give it the opportunity to continue its story. I also picked up a few stamps for the beautiful handmade stationary.

The high necked gown, with lace topper was handmade by a Canadian designer and the shoes were the “Filipa” nude jewel toe shoe from Bella Belle. The talented artist at “Lia Terni” hand crafted the sustainable metal crown to finish off the brides ethereal look.

I didn’t want to do something as formal as a large cake and Paris is known for all of their amazing individualized cakes, pastries and confections, so I opted for the Bride & Grooms favorites. A fresh raspberry macaron and an almond layered swirl.

I was inspired by the artist Rodin’s sculptures and worked similar posed into the shoot. From having the groom guard “The Gates of Hell” to contemplate with “The Thinker” himself, I incorporated as much old world aesthetic as I possibly could."
