NYC rooftop wedding with pastel flowers at the Box House Hotel in Brooklyn
We love juxtaposition in wedding design and today's NYC rooftop wedding shows us how to do it in style. Fluffy textured flowers in pretty pastel hues contrasted beautifully with the urban mid-century design of The Box House Hotel, a former door and window factory in the heart of Brooklyn.
Yiquan and Keene utilized the modern rooftop to the max, first hosting a tea ceremony for their families only, before the florist and event team transformed the space with a new layout for their official wedding ceremony, followed by reception and after party.
"The Box House Hotel has a beautiful rooftop with a cool wrap-around marble bar, green cottage balcony, and a spacious inside area that gave Yiquan and Keene the flexibility they needed for their four-in-one event," explains their NYC wedding photographer, VIVO. "The retractable roof was opened up and everyone enjoyed the party, while watching the finest vibrant New York City sunset."
The color palette was inspired by the bride's love of pastels and Hello Kitty (can you spot the cute figurines?) and the team at Oh Fleur NYC were tasked with creating a chic and elegant aesthetic. They more than met the brief, combining a variety of pastel summer flowers, including baby blue delphinium, pink ranunculus, peach dahlia and blush peony, to create a harmonious display that brought the minimal space to life.
