Majestic mountain wedding in Telluride, Colorado

During the run up to Emily and Jake's wedding in Teluride, it was snowing and raining all week. "On the day of the ceremony, the sky cleared and it was one of the prettiest days we have ever seen," said Emily. "Jake and I were so happy to be married in our favorite place. It was such a special experience and we wish we could relive it over and over."

The couple exchanged vows with majestic mountain views at the San Sophia Overlook at Telluride Ski Resort, before hosting their reception at Allred’s steak house at the top of the mountain. Emily adds: "We chose to have elk and halibut for our guests to choose from, and signature drinks, including a gin and tonic for me and an Old Fashioned for Jake."

Emily and Jake chose a neutral color scheme with touches of pale blue to complement the alpine view. "Dahlia Floral Design designed the florals so perfectly. My favorite parts were the ground arch at the ceremony and the suspended floral arrangement above the dance floor. I also loved the seating chart with the tables named after places at Baylor University, like our football stadium and our favorite dive bar."

Emily wore an elegant strapless Mira Zwillinger gown, with 3D appliqué flowers that were echoed in the spectacular wedding cake design. "I knew I wanted my bridesmaids in light blue dresses, which turned out to match the sky perfectly that day," adds Emily.
