Intimate French Chateau Wedding with White Roses in Normandy
Trust the process and try to not stress about every single detail are the sage words of advice from bride Kaitlyn, who planned her intimate French chateau wedding in Normandy in just six months. "Everything will come together the way it’s supposed to," adds Kaitlyn. "I highly recommend getting a wedding planner who can help calm you down when you’re feeling overwhelmed. I had one of the best in Sofia Gallo and couldn’t have planned the wedding so quickly without her."
Originally from Boulder, Colorado, travel lovers Kaitlyn and Todd knew they would tie the knot in France as they adore the culture and beauty of the architecture. "Not to mention they are so dog friendly, and our pup Miley goes everywhere with us," adds Kaitlyn.
The couple chose the stunning Chateau de Courtomer in Normandy to host a three-day wedding celebration for their closest family and friends, which was captured by destination wedding photographer, Julia Rapp. Their decor decisions were guided by the time period of the 18th century chateau itself, with dusty blues paired with whites and ivory to create a chic but classic French wedding style.
The dinner was set on one long banquet table in front of the chateau with flowers and heaps of candles running down the length of it. "When the sun started to set it was so romantic," said Kaitlyn. "Having our dog there and be a part of all the festivities made it very special as well, she is our baby, and we even had her sign our marriage certificate!
