Fairytale castle wedding in Washington state with Ines di Santo gown
What makes a fairytale wedding? For us, key ingredients include a grand historic venue, a dramatic gown and veil, and atmospheric photography that captures your love story in a light, ethereal style. Isabella and Jonathan's beautiful wedding had all these elements and more, bringing to life Isabella's love of fantasy literature at Thornewood Castle, a genuine English Tudor castle in Washington state.
This special fairytale wedding was captured by Seattle wedding photographer and Fine Art Curation member, Jacqueline Benét. Isabella and Jonathan's venue choice was simply perfect for their vision. Thornewood Castle is one of the few genuine private castles in the United States and the only one on the West Coast. In 1907, Mr Chester Thorne purchased a 400-year-old Elizabethan manor in England and had parts of it dismantled and shipped piece by piece to be featured in the main house.
The secret sunken garden was an idyllic spot for their wedding ceremony, while sprawling lakefront grounds were the perfect setting for windswept portraits by the willow tree. We are obsessed with Isa's romantic bridal look, the dramatic lace-trimmed veil compliments her elegant Ines di Santo gown to perfection.
