Elegant spring wedding editorial in Provence
We love an intimate outdoor soirée and this beautifully styled wedding shoot at a French château is just up our street. Ornate chandeliers with trailing foliage overhead, bright blousy blooms and stunning bridal couture... there's so many gorgeous ideas you'll want to save to your wedding boards. French wedding planner Marie Chicchirichi planned and styled this fresh modern editorial in Provence, captured by Purewhite Photography.
Marie Chicchirichi shares her inspiration: "I wanted to create a cocoon of softness and wellness. The colour palette is bright and fresh, almost spring-like: soft greens, shades of white, yellow, peach and powder pink. We used an abundance of flowers for a poetic and modern look. The ceremony decor is a contemporary interpretation of a flowery field, with light flowers dancing in the wind. The large vow exchange décor creates a backdrop that harmonises with the beautiful façade of the château."
The tablescape was inspired by a jewelry box, with a ceiling of flowers and chandeliers. Floral designer Lettre à Elise Events worked with elegant varieties of spring flowers, mainly hydrangea, peonies and branches of viburnum ‘Boule de neige’.
Marie adds: "We wanted to run with the Provençal notes of an alfresco dinner, but with a modernised feel. I like to bring a unique identity to each project and combine the talents of the craftsmen for a bespoke result. The plates were created by a French ceramist Barbara Studio and were calligraphed by Nice Plume on the day of the shoot, as were the locally produced candles locally produced and the ribbon for the bridal bouquet. She also drew the hydrangea motifs on the table runner one by one."
