Classic white and blush rose wedding in Charleston, SC
After weathering years of long-distance, then moving to two new cities together, Nina and Ray proved that their relationship could thrive anywhere in the world. So, it was fitting for Ray to pop the question at New York’s Montauk Point Lighthouse, located at the very tip of eastern Long Island on a cliffside known as the End of the World. Ray kneeled down and told Nina he wanted to propose at the end of the world since they have been all over the world together. Cue the tears!
Fast forward two years and we arrive at the Governor Thomas Bennett House in Charleston, South Carolina, for their beautifully classic spring wedding filled with white and blush roses. Nina wow'd in a stunning Berta gown, with pearl-encrusted backless bodice and fit-to-flare mermaid train. Her bridesmaids wore white and textured ivory bouquets, complementing the fresh spring atmosphere of the manicured gardens.
The couple's wedding photographer, Charleston-based Kailee DiMeglio Photography, tells us more about the day: "After their heartfelt ceremony, Nina and Ray's wedding guests enjoyed spicy margaritas and a chilled seafood bar in front of the historic property. Later, everyone moved to the tented dining area under an inverted floral meadow blooming with pastel peonies, roses, and cascading green garlands. Every harmonious detail executed by Pure Luxe Bride and Flora florals complemented the sweet and refreshing essence of spring.
"With cake, cocktails and gelato in abundance, the guests didn’t sleep on the chance to boogie under the romantic floral canopy. But the fun did not stop at the Thomas Bennett House! The couple rented out vintage jazz club,The Commodore, for a fun-filled after party. Nina changed into a knockout second gown with embroidered sequins and a high neckline, and the couple tore up another dance floor, adding even more unforgettable moments to their wedding day memory vault."
