Central Park Elopement in a Pale Blue Wedding Gown
Could there be anything more serendipitous than meeting your soulmate through the bustling crowds in Central Park, by complete chance? Photographer Amelia Soegijono fully captured our hearts today with this whirlwind romance, such emotive photographs of Lauren and Josiah and their intimate elopement. Their story is flawlessly portrayed by talented stylist Sandra Chau - navigating the busy walkways filled with other people, but keeping their eyes and focus locked on each other. Their color palette is soft, romantic, and plays on the neutral textures and tones seen throughout Central Park. Enjoy this beautiful love story....
From Amelia Soegijono: "The shoot is at Bethesda Terrace and the Central Park surrounds. The stylist Sandra envisioned things to be really soft and romantic. In terms of colour palette, Sandra chose the main colours to be on the peachy front (paired alongside, blush, cream, darker orange tones and greens) to complement the terracota tones of Bethesda Terrace and also take advantage of the warmer weather in NYC, it’s freezing here in Australia!
As for the florals, we aimed for loose, natural, effortless, interesting in shape, romantic and gardenesque feels.
I wanted to bring a bit of sweetness into this story. In the beginning, illustrating her vulnerability in a little boudoir shoot, shot in classic BW of her holding a rose, as she reminicense the day she was given a rose by the man who saw her in the midst of all others in the heart of a bustling central park, lost in crowd, but found by love.
At their first look, she was filled with nerves as she came to meet her husband to be, who is awaiting for her at Bethesda Terrace. She can’t wait to see him as she rushed to his presence. He received her hands softly and the two embrace.
Her husband were then filled with memories of how he saw his precious one that serendipitous day at Central Park and the day ends with them looking forward to their future, of where their friendship will take them to a chapter more beautiful than anything they have ever imagined."
