Bridgerton-Inspired Chicago Garden Wedding Filled with Soft Pastel Florals
There are some weddings that feel like they’ve been lifted straight from the pages of a novel…dreamy, romantic, touched with just the right balance of whimsy and sophistication. Carolyn and Michael’s Chicago Botanic Garden celebration was exactly that, a symphony of soft light, delicate hues, and tender moments that we can’t help but want to share with every bride-to-be.
Carolyn and Michael’s story blossomed over a long-distance love between Chicago and New York, and eventually found its forever in the most charming of ways, a brunch proposal overlooking the Hudson River. A year later, back in Carolyn’s hometown, they shared “I dos” in the most charming English Walled Garden, a place she had cherished since childhood. Their entire day felt like you’d stepped into pages from The Secret Garden, stone walls, trailing ivy, and blooms surrounding their closest family and friends.
The stand out love of ours, though, were the colors. A symphony of coral and baby blue florals: blousy dahlias and delphiniums paired with garden roses, each a picture of petaled perfection, painted into a soft pastel masterpiece, echoing the romance of Victorian literature Carolyn so adored.
And then there was Carolyn herself, a vision in timeless bridal elegance. On her feet, she wore exquisite pearl heels ‘Gigi’ from our Fine Art Curation member, Freya Rose London, their delicate shimmer catching the light with every step. Ladies, if you’re looking for finishing touches that feel less like accessories and more like heirlooms you need to take a page from this real bride and check out Freya Rose’s Mother of Pearl collections.
As dusk fell, twinkling lights draped over McGinley Pavilion, where guests sipped cocktails and danced beneath the draped canopy. Heart-shaped sunglasses made their way to the dance floor, because who doesn’t love a trending bridal moment, laughter spilling into the night. Yet our favorite moment? The newlyweds slipping away to the lake overlook, savoring Old Fashionds, martinis, and the quiet joy of being husband and wife.
