Down by the River styled shoot ~ Heyday Events

Dec 17, 2013 | Inspiration
We love a DIY project as much as the next bride-to-be so we're excited to show off some DIY watercolour stationery from Heyday Events later this afternoon on Wedding Sparrow. In the meantime we have this summer river styled shoot from dream team Heyday Events and Natasha Hurley Photography full or organic wedding ideas complete with tweed, floral crown and calligraphy wooden place names. Love! From Bridie at Heyday Events: "The idea behind the shoot was a laid back, romantic day by the river with a touch of fairytales and river nymphs. Surrounded by the beauty of nature our cosy table setting nestled perfectly into the scenery; with golden candlestick holders, goblets and crisp white fabrics to bring a lavish feel to the rustic river setting. There was splashing about in the river and handmade-paper boats containing wishes from guests, which were set sail by our bride and groom. To top if off we had river themed food – grilled fish, samphire, wild garlic humous with sour dough bread, and to finish, a fresh lime and mint cooler." In the moments of calm the surroundings seemed to embrace them as they stood in each others arms, peaceful and hidden in the quiet stream." This was then reflected in the table setting by the drift wood place names and menu along with the signs made from old riverboat wood."
