From the stylist/planner Camryn Brook Events: "This editorial took place in a modern studio setting in Columbus, Ohio. It was inspired by the great blue heron for its striking colors and beautiful shapes. Its feathers are in shades of blue, brown and white with a peach-colored beak, all of which drove the color palette. I wanted to merge the natural beauty of the blue heron with modern elements to create a fresh, unexpected design.

Heather of Evergreen Flower Co. designed centerpieces and sprouted floor designs made up of butterfly ranunculus, Japanese sweet pea, Cappuccino roses, painted asparagus fern and phalaenopsis orchids.

The invitation suite by Kelsey Malie was centered around the blue heron with a vellum print as the main piece of artwork and feathery, grass-like designs subtly woven throughout. The selected typeface and negative space made for a modern feel.

Our model, Emily wore two bridals looks—the first a romantic, vintage dress with tiered ruffles and a high neck and the other a chic, long sleeve cashmere gown. We kept the accessories simple with a pair of nude Alexandre Birman heels and a Mineralogy asymmetrical diamond ring.

The table design was bold and embraced the color palette through the blue linens, brown flatware and soft rosy china.

We included some fun elements to inspire ways to personalize a couple’s wedding day—a peachy cocktail adorned with rose petals and macarons by MJOMII that were as perfect and beautiful as they tasted."
