From photographer Katie Julia and stylist Natalie Hewitt: "2020 was the year of journeying back to the authentic bride. The wedding fashion landscape has fundamentally changed in 2020, with a complete redefinition of what ‘luxury’ is. Today’s bride is being more true to herself, re-establishing the meaning behind the act of marriage. I want to encourage more women to step into themselves, to wear outfits that make them feel beautiful rather than what they think they ‘should wear or the opinions of others who may be potentially be picking up the bill . To not wear a dress for a man, but to wear it for YOU. To not to fit into expectations of others, exterior pressures from families or traditions. To choose a dress you truly desire for YOU- You can be bold, you can be true to who you are. So, ladies, be confident. Dare to be different. Dare to be you. Don’t follow trends. Make them."
