Texas Winter Beach Wedding Inspiration
As a beach town resident, seaside and winter aren't necessarily two words I associate; however, upon viewing these Marni Wishart oceanside images, my point of view is now permanently changed (and who would think this is Texas!). Elegant The Petaler Floral and Events Co. blooms compliment the golden sunset, while the cool tones of the tablescape really balance the look. Every single detail will sweep you off your feet here....
From Stylist and Floral Designer, The Petaler Floral and Events Co.: "Given how hot it gets in Texas, I find the best time to visit our beaches is during the winter and that is the most popular time for ocean front weddings in our area. Unlike other parts of the country, our closest beach in Galveston is almost monochromatic. The water is a deep gray while the sand is a beige-gray, and on a cloudy day like the day we shot, everything sort of blends together. It is incredibly ethereal in that regard.
With this shoot, we wanted to showcase a beach that is often disregarded, so the entire tablescape was inspired by the monochromatic color palette of the beach. We layered white silk on white linen and paired cream ceramics featuring dried reindeer moss, dotted with capiz shells, and candle holders carved out of sea salt. The bouquet was also filled with delicate layers of texture with sweet pea, ranunculus, and clematis. Everything speaks to the height of winter in our area of the world."
