Brittany and Chris’s stylish engagement shoot in downtown Austin, Texas shows us how to channel that fun and effortless vibe we all strive for. Guided by Austin-based wedding photographer, Paige Vaughn, the couple strolled the streets hand-in-hand and took in the scenic views of the city skyline from the rooftop of the South Congress Hotel.
After a six-year long distance romance, the couple now live together in Houston as they plan and eagerly anticipate their big day on October 19, 2024. Their wedding photographer Paige tells is more about their love story.
"Brittany and Chris’s love story is a colorful tale that began in January 2015 at the first Camp Texas counselor training of the year. Brittany, along with the exec team, had meticulously planned a vibrant welcome for all the counselors, complete with explosions of color, glitter, and face paint. It was during this lively event that Brittany first met Chris, greeting him with an enthusiastic hug and adorning his face with purple paint.
"Their friendship blossomed over the next year and by October, Brittany and Chris officially became a couple. However, their journey was soon marked by long-distance challenges as Brittany pursued medical school in Houston, while Chris was stationed across the country from Boston to LA.
"In October 2022, Chris chose Mueller Lake Park in Austin, the site of their first Valentine’s Day together, to pop the question and ask Brittany to spend forever by his side. Brittany and Chris’s love has endured distance and time, culminating in this engagement celebration to signify the beginning of their next chapter together."
