From photographer Michelle White: "For this shoot, we wanted to create images that captured rhythm and movement using line and repetition. Every element of the design, from the dress to the florals, the invitations to the cake, every aspect of the shoot used repetition of line to create movement and texture.
We were drawn an organic, modern and minimalist look, but still wanted a romantic and soft feel. We decided to use a soft color palette of warm neutrals and shades of pinks, to let the line and movement create the visual interest.
For the florals, dried palm fronds with their folds and ridges were paired with dried spirea branches as well as fresh florals with interesting lines. The paper suite concept was that each line of text was on a different piece of paper elevated slightly above the one below it to create lines that loosely paralleled each other for flow. The cake texture mimics pleated fabric in order to create tempo. The soft, loose curls in the bride’s hair and the ruffles of the dress all played into the theme of movement and rhythm."
