Luxe Asian fusion editorial with high-fashion style

Today's stunning editorial has something of the Moira Rose about it and we mean that in the very best way! It's high fashion; it's fine art and it's totally fabulous. Full of lush florals, rich textures, bold patterns and luxe details, it will inspire the luxury loving romantic in all of us who longs for a touch of fantasy. The incredible shoot is the creation of a Fine Art Curation dream team, designed by Lustre Theory with imagery by David Abel.

Kristin from Lustre Theory drew inspiration from different cultures and was keen to focus on diversity. "I wanted a mix of textures and colors moving through this shoot," she explains. "You can see that within the mix of patterns for the table decor; the different fabrics and embellishments in the fashion; and the general ambience inside the Larz Anderson House, which is a stunning and historical venue in Washington DC."

The editorial showcases several fashion looks, including a regal, black gown with cape and Spanish-inspired gold accessories; a silver fringed party gown with cape; a champagne crystal-encrusted off the shoulder piece and a flirty blue bridal tulle gown with white jewelry and hair piece.

A banquet table was designed in the upstairs hallway of Anderson House, which is lined with tapestries. "The table is flowing with grass green velvets accented with melon and clay tones," explains Kristin. "Antique Asian floral vessels flow down the centre of the table, much taller than normal compote styles. You should never be afraid of mixing patterns! I love how the napkins, vessels, table settings and linens all work together to create something truly unique and lush."
