Intimate Houston Wedding with Mexican Food!

Both being native Houstonians, their wedding was steeped in tradition and homage to their roots. From the beginning the couple set out a vision that would highlight the best of what the city has to offer from native flora to a set of cakes from Houston’s best bakers. Furthermore, they wanted a laid back, family focused affair with a plethora of thoughtful details and a rocking’ party. Mary Alice and Aron love to dance, so they put a lot of thought into the musical choices and Mary Alice’s father even played in the wedding band! Planning their wedding was both nostalgic and heartwarming as there were many laughs over shared childhood memories including tennis lessons and after school cupcakes all of which came together in a beautiful celebration of their union. Their personalities really shine through all aspects of their day. Following their reception catered by one of Houston’s favorite Mexican restaurants, the two hit the dance floor and even ended the night with a tribute to their favorite city by dancing to Dean Martin’s, Houston! From the wedding planning book that her grandmother used, to Arron’s tennis themed groom’s cake, to antique Wedgewood vases the Mary Alice collects, and even a custom postage stamp featuring a portrait of their beloved dog, their wedding was truly a celebration of all of their favorite things and the city they choose to call home."
