How to have a mindful wedding morning
Wedding mornings are typically full of bustle and busyness but how about a more relaxing and reflective start to the day? It's lovely to have your best girls around but perhaps take an hour for yourself first, or even devote the entire morning to mindful self care to fuel yourself for the hectic day ahead.
Remember there's nothing saying you must have a gaggle of bridesmaids, hair and make-up artists milling around if you prefer some solitude before this momentous day. Today we're sharing some ideas for a restorative wedding morning from Canadian wedding planner and Fine Art Curation member Nóbl Events.
Take a soak.
There's nothing quite like a hot soak in luxurious hotel bathroom to relax mind and body. Indulge in your favourite scent or aromatherapy oils, fill the tub with bubbles, play your favourite music and enjoy.
Indulge in a massage or your favorite therapeutic self care before you put on your makeup and get your hair done. Shake off any other life stress and find yourself in the moment.
Once hair and make-up are done, slip on some special lingerie for a tasteful boudoir shoot with your wedding photographer. This is a lovely way to build your confidence in front of the camera without a large bridal party around.
Re-read your vows
Centre yourself on the promises you’re making and celebrate the choice you have made to marry your person.
Share the love
Invite a close friend, a family member or two or your planner into the room and share your feelings with them if it is a positive way of re-affirmation.
