French Soiree Style in a Monique Lhuillier Gown
What makes this gorgeous wedding inspiration designed by Fine Art Curation member K. Saw Weddings so incredibly special is its French Soiree style right in the heart of California. These romantic California nuptials photographed by Jasmine Lee Photography are inspired by the beauty of the French elegance. From a venue covered in towering Cypress trees, hundreds of mauve roses, a magical lace gown reminiscent of Grace Kelly… this wedding inspiration is truly something special!
From K. Saw Weddings: "Whenever I design an Editorial Shoot, I think of a place that inspires me the most and like many of us, France is one. It’s truly one of the most special place in my heart and the one that I miss the most. Because of the pandemic, couples in California can no longer travel to their dream wedding destinations safely and my heart goes out to them. As a wedding planner and stylist, this inspired me to design something beautiful as couples can pivot to something safe without compromising beautiful details and somehow experience their dream destination without traveling further.
I was very fortunate to have found my Dream Team for my vision to come to life. For our venue, I've selected Villa Montalvo located in Saratoga Hills in California. This magnificent venue boasts a stunning Villa with breathtaking views. It offers beautiful gardens, and Italinate garden adjacent to the Love Temple is just perfect for our theme! I approached some of the most talented vendors in the city and one of them is my photographer Jasmine Lee who captured everything so beautifully while Melissa of Le Bloomerie designed the florals of my dreams. I have envisioned lush lavender and mauve garden roses with a hint of blush tones and cream hydrangea infused with some hues of blues and purples on delphiniums and she made my vision come to life.
For our Ceremony backdrop, we’ve created an arch full of Garden Roses combined with aisle runners for a fuller look at the Villa Montalvo’s Love Temple to set the scene. Our bridal bouquet matched our floral arch while Melissa added some mauve tones infused with beautiful texture wrapped with a mauve velvet ribbon from Party Crush Studio.
With a stunning backdrop of Villa Montalvo’s Italianate Garden as our view, we added a lavender linen for a pop of color to emphasize our Romantic Sweetheart table for our bride and groom and we placed lush florals in blush for centerpiece to add a beautiful contrast. We used a glass charger with gold rim which we combined with a lightly distressed dinner plate with an exquisite embossed design. To complete our French inspired tablescape, we added a lavish flatware with a touch of renaissance reminiscent of a true French Soiree.
For our bride’s first look, she wore a classic Monique Lhuillier ball gown from the San Francisco’s most sought after bridal salon, SF Bridal Galleria where she wore it in two ways. This Monique Lhuillier gown has a matching French lace jacket which is a reminiscent of Grace Kelly’s gown when she married Prince Ranier III of Monaco. It’s such an exquisite gown! I believe that elopements can be this beautiful and sky should be the limit when it comes to bridal look. Although it’s an elopement, couples should still have the freedom to express their vision by wearing something that can make them feel their best. To complete the look, our bride wore a natural dewy makeup done by our talented Hair and Makeup artist, Aimee of Aimee Artistry while she completed it with a clean updo with soft textures adorned with a stunning floral hair clip by El Taller. For her second look, she wore a dainty lace Berta gown and changed her look by adding a brighter mauve lip color which compliments her beautiful updo while boasting a stunning gold headpiece by El taller. Our groom looking dapper on his navy tuxedo from Black Tux stood next to her wearing a matching boutonniere that compliments our luxurious bridal bouquet.
It was an honor designing a beautiful invitation suite plus a matching menu for my tablescape with a very talented stationery designer and calligrapher from Chicago, Sakshi of Inquisited. We added a lavender French toile pattern on our envelope liner which was one of my favorite details! We also added this beautiful pattern on our place cards in scrolls with our bride and groom’s names in calligraphy. For our vow books, Sakshi added a monogram of our bride and Groom’s initials to make it more personalized. It was fun picking French names for this!
We’ve added special details to complete our French Soirée theme by adding beautiful flatlay designs of Bella Belle lace booties and lace pumps with a dainty tulle ribbon complemented by Le Bloomerie’s garden roses and French scented candles by Maison Verbana for our “Something Blue”. Last but not the least, we added an exquisite dessert table in blue velvet linen for a pop of color where we placed our blush cake with flecks of gold along with its matching macarons surrounded by pretty little floral cloches."
