From the florist, Floratherapie: "Teaming up with Nichole from Floratherapie for her second “Floral Therapy” retreat was a dream. The concept got me from the beginning. Flowers, a calm and relaxing vibe, flowy, lavender fields, with pops of colors. I pictured designing a styled shoot at some French Countryside farm on huge lavender field. Pictured the wind flowing through the lavender fields, with chickens running freely on the farm. How could you not get excited?

We had a dream team on this one, and everything came together even better than I could have imagined. The Lavender Valley Farm is a hidden gem in Maple Valley, WA with the pretty lavender field, as well as farm vibes that we wanted (and chickens!). We had the tent in an open field, in between the lavender and the chickens it was perfection. Kerry Jeanne Photography captured everything effortlessly and I am SO thrilled with the photos!

Nichole, trained in horticultural therapy, centered the wellness retreat around relaxing breathwork, mindfulness exercises, stress-relief and creative focus as participants designed their own centerpieces using therapeutic flowers & foliage from Free Range Flowers and Laughing Goat - both local flower farms. We started the retreat with coffee, mimosas, and some snacks before they did some morning stretching/yoga. Then they were greeted with a gorgeous display of flowers from the two flower farms. Guests were gifted a fun welcome basket full of goodies from Pomp and Revel, Simple Goodness Sisters (the locally made drink syrups we used for the day!), seeds from Floret, journals from Pomp and Revel, and so much more. They had some fun hands on floral design practice, learned about nurturing themselves through skin care, hosting parties, gardening and growing flowers, and SO much more. Such a fun, relaxing and delicious day in the field surrounded by beauty.

Now on to the shoot! So many amazing vendors came together to bring our vision to life. Honey Crumb Cake Studio made not one, but TWO cakes for the day. One was a gorgeous light mauve/lavender two tiered cake with a lower hexagonal layer. Adorned with the most perfect delicate modern sugar flowers, it was perfection! Her second cake was more floral painterly vibes, for the guests to enjoy.

Our delicious (and beautiful) farm to table lunch (and afternoon hors d’oeuvres) was provided by Twelve Baskets Catering, which we styled with some fun herbs, salts, etc. The tables had pretty linens from BBJ Linens. Most rentals were from Grand Event Rentals, as well as some tabletop rentals from Balancing Balloons. Vintage Ambiance has the best vintage furniture which was used throughout the decor and shoot.

In Loft Calligraphy worked her magic on all of the stationery and paper goods, calligraphy which really brought through the vibes and style we wanted. SO GOOD! The invitation looks like old parchment paper, and coordinated well with all of the wood Pomp and Revel items and details.

The models Rohanna and Cassidy wore dresses from Lovely Bride, and Bella Bridesmaids. Yessie Libby worked her magic with hair, makeup, and even applying single flowers for a fun floral look! Kerry captured them in the field, which looks like an orchard. One of my fave images is one with Cassidy wearing a sun hat from Free People, with ribbon from Adorn!

The tablescape was a combination of all of the vendors, attendee’s flowers, decor and items. We placed some “freshly picked” flowers at the front of the table to bring in some fun colors, and the floral vibe. Wood utensils from Balancing Balloons, as well as the modern white plates and soft grey/lavender napkins. The table also had candle holders and glassware from Vintage Ambiance, menus and tags from In Loft Calligraphy, and place cards from Pomp and Revel.

We are SO happy with this shoot and hope it can inspire others! Nichole with Floratherapie really knocked this one out of the park, and I was happy to help plan and design it with her."
