Elegant elopement at the Palacio de Seteais in Sintra, Portugal
We get giddy when a Portuguese wedding lands in our inbox, particularly one captured by luxury European wedding photographer and Fine Art Curation member, Diane Sotero. We just know it's going to be effortlessly stylish and beautiful.
Today's elegant elopement at the Palacio deSeteais in Sintra is simply spectacular. Bride Vanessa is a renowned shoe designer and wanted the occasion to possess a distinctly elegant and editorial feel. Her partner, Francesco, opposed the idea of a grand celebration but eventually yielded to Vanessa’s idea of sealing their union with an elopement at the historic and graceful resort in Sintra, Portugal.
Over to Diane to tell us more about this extraordinary celebration: "The day began with a series of portraits of the bride, showcasing a breathtaking ceremony dress created by the renowned Brazilian designer, Carlos Bacchi. The delicate touches of tulle were nothing short of sublime, perfectly complemented by her veil. Vanessa’s footwear, a unique creation from Capodarte made especially for this occasion, added an extra layer of elegance to the ensemble.
"Vanessa and Francesco's emotional ceremony was held under a beautifully adorned tree by the floral designer, ClaudiaPerdigao. The simplicity of the white and green color palette was a spectacular choice, perfectly complementing the beautiful location. Family and friends shared messages that were read by the officiant during the ceremony, contributing to the intimacy of the occasion.
"After the ceremony, Vanessa changed into a white mini dress, paired with classic Manolo Blahnik shoes, for an editorial-style photoshoot in her getting-ready space before dinner. The day concluded with a sumptuous dinner prepared by a Michelin-starred chef at the Palace of Seteais, accompanied by a beautiful cake and a champagne toast. It is hard to imagine a more romantic ending to a dreamy elopement."
