Earthy Fall Scottish Highlands Wedding Inspiration

If there are 2 things that turn my head in the wedding industry, it's photographer Jen Huang and the Scottish Highlands. Jen shot our recent Summer editorial and we've been long time fans here at WS HQ so when we knew she was heading to the Scottish Highlands to create some wedding inspiration magic, I just knew it would be perfection. Teaming up with Irish stylist powerhouse House of Hannah, I wasn't disappointed with this earthy Fall sophisticated, yet painterly, editorial. I'm in love, and if you're not too, then we can't be friends...

From Lindsay at House of Hannah: "Excited at the thoughts of welcoming our friends Jen Huang and Elihu Bogan on a recent trip to Ireland, a casual “where will we go for dinner” whatsapp conversation escalated rather quickly and before we knew it, we were planning a full on bridal editorial for the following week.. in the highlands of Scotland!

Autumn is one of my favourite times of year, purely because of the ever changing colours and textures and with so many tones to pull inspiration from, we rested on an earthy palette and trusted the creative team put their own twist on it. Shasta from Shasta Bell Calligraphy designed and produced the most beautiful suite of paper with feather edges, gold detailing and an envelope liner that featured an old painting of a maiden and unicorn, Scotlands national animal. The team at Floral Earth foraged the locality for autumn crab apples and foliage that tied the entire look together.

Working on such a beauty, Sarah Clarke enhanced Emma's flawlessness with warm lips and a soft glow and donning dresses from The White Gallery in Newry and Paolo Sebastian, we hopped in our cars to head out into the Scottish highlands. After a morning of rain, we were blessed with the golden sunlight and had the most fun together location scouting. With an amazing team in Jen, Elihu and Marcos, every mile and hour spent travelling had been worth it and we couldn’t be happier with how the whole editorial turned out."
