Country garden flowers bring a taste of the Cotswolds to California
It's amazing how flowers conjure feelings of a different time and place. They're truly magical. Candy-colored delphiniums, roses, hydrangeas and other English country garden favorites transport us from California to the Cotswolds in this beautiful editorial from Fine Art Curation member Courtney Bowlden Photography, with planning by Britt Jones Co.
Among the sun-drenched vineyards at Sunstone Winery in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley, north of Santa Barbara, a couple exchange vows of commitment and love. The bride wears a slinky Claire Pettibone gown with floral appliqué overlay and flirty capped sleeves of tulle. The botanical theme continues to her jewelry from Elizabeth Bower and gold and ivory brocade shoes from Something Bleu.
The floral design from Solstice Bloom really sets the scene of a Cotswold country garden in early summer. Soft flowers in lavender, peach, blue, ivory and blush pink make for a pretty feminine vibe that looks dreamy against the honey-colored Sunstone stone. We love the tablescape with the dusky cornflower blue cloth, ticking stripe napkins and overflowing floral compotes. The beaded chandeliers suspended from the trees overhead really add to the sense of occasion.
