Colbalt Blue and Grasses Make This a Modern Wedding Inspiration
It all started with an Art Curator and a Botanist, which was the basis of the idea for this museum based editorial created by Erica Estrada Design. The romance of this shoot captured by Stephanie Gan Photography is as modern and contemporary as the classic Crocker Art Museum venue with incredible silk tulle Ayah Abukhazneh gown, a ceremony set up so textured and florals by Oak & Ash, chic jewelry details, and that soft cobalt blue and peach stationery suite by Minted. Needless to say, this editorial has us pinning all the things...
From Erica Estrada Design: "Before we envisioned the design aesthetic for this editorial, we created a story - the bride, an art curator and forward thinker whose devotion and respect for her craft is evident in all aspects of her life. The groom is a botanist, who portrays a constant curiosity of the outdoors.
Given the grooms profession, the grasses and arrangements are a central focal point throughout the shoot. The florals, viewed as a conversation bringing the outside in, in an artful and interpretive form. The cobalt blue cornflower, creates a unique and progressive moment to what could have been natural and muted.
The one-of-a-kind piece, featuring a silk underlay peeking through the organza gown wedding gown designed by Ayah paired with the handmade, gold statements by Alicia completes the brides artful expression.
The minimalist table design includes a variations of textures and foliage to complement the modernity of the art museum. The boldness of mixing dark metals combined with the subtle and mild color variations in the paper and linen, serve as another focal point of the overall aesthetic."
