Black Tie & Oscar de la Renta Gown at the Lincoln Memorial
Although we’ve been limited to celebrating with smaller guest counts in 2020, any engaged or just-married couple can still create frame-worthy portraits at a stunning couples’ session like Carly and Tyler, at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. photographed by Fine Art Curation member Lindley Battle Photography. Catching a sunrise over the reflecting pool is a magical scene unlike any other. Standing among the oversized columns of the stately Lincoln Memorial as the sun slowly rises brings a special glow to the marble and the scenery - only increasing in warmth and “wow” factor as 7 am turns to 8 am, turns to 9 am.
The most formally dressed couple at the Lincoln that morning, Carly and Tyler definitely turned some heads and received some congratulatory cheers during their session! Carly wore an incredible Oscar de la Renta gown with a statement bow from local bridal boutique Carines Bridal, and Tyler wore a classic black tux - a groom’s look that can never goes out of style, in our humble opinion! Carly’s cascading bouquet by Sweet Root Village included an all-white assortment of orchids, anthurium, and roses; an absolutely luxe collection of fragrant and fluffy blooms.
Again, though many celebrations were downsized this year, this sweet session planned by East Made Co. proves that the love between two people is truly what matters most. Stunning portraiture and documenting love at any time should truly be celebrated, and dressing up - whether just the bride and groom for themselves or with friends and family - is always worth it!
