Beautiful marriage proposal in the Provence countryside

When one of our fabulous Fine Art Curation members gets engaged, we know we're in for stylish celebration with carefully thought out details and beautiful imagery capturing this memorable moment. So as soon as we heard that Provence wedding photographer Thomas Audiffren had proposed to his fiancée Elyssa, we eagerly awaited photos from the day he popped the question. Of course, they didn't disappoint and we are thrilled to share their beautiful engagement shoot with you today.

Over to Thomas: "Elyssa and I met in 2020 in Cannes, just after the first lockdown in France. It was a real thunderbolt meeting and one month after we met, we moved in together, just before a second lockdown in France. It was such an incredible experience to start our relationship this way but it helped us realize very quickly that we are meant to be together.

"We had a romantic weekend in Montpellier at the end of October and went to a beautiful restaurant named Le Grand Arbre and enjoyed a few glasses of champagne. When I asked her THE question, she had this amazing smile on her face and a big "yes!" followed!

"After this intimate moment, I wanted to arrange a special day to celebrate our engagement with the help of some much cherished friends in the wedding industry. We love the authentic and Provencal feel of the Mas de la Rose and the team came together to create a perfect day full of special details.

"Finally came the question: who will take our photos? Valéry Villard is a very kind and talented friend and one of the rare photographers I know that perfectly masters film photography. Elyssa and I are not models and I knew that his kindness and benevolent direction would be very important."
