There's a growing trend in the wedding industry that involves a bride and groom dressing back up in their finest the day after their wedding and have a mini-shoot to capture some amazingly relaxed couples shots. Think engagement session but in the afterglow of an incredible wedding day! Why is it a good idea? Think about the whirlwind of your wedding day and the amount of people you have to talk to/meet/greet/take photographs with etc. Having a day after shoot will enable you to spend some relaxed time shooting with your finest outfits on (an excuse to wear the dress again!) not having to worry about the guests you need to get back to. From Jennifer: "The Gulf Coast is always gorgeous, but the lighting was extra perfect the day after Karis & Luke's wedding day. It was almost like it was a reflection of their love. I'm not sure I've ever photographed anything more romantic than these two kissing atop the gigantic rocks on the shoreline. It felt like it jumped out from the pages of a fairytale. I love the passion that is present in day-after sessions. It is almost more ethereal than the wedding day itself. Karis looked breathtaking in her Sottero & Midgely gown. It's not hard to see why Luke is so smitten with her. Of course, he looked dashing in his tux too. It felt fitting to capture the whole session on film. It has such an organic and ethereal quality that just adds to the romance."
