A classic English wedding with a touch of whimsical glam
Today's feature is proof that a whimsical, romantic, free spirited bridal style can be paired with just a hint of glam and look flawless for an English countryside wedding. Wedding Sparrow fave, florist Jennifer Pinder, dreamed up and constructed beautiful blooms in a classic ivory shade, adorned with vines and trailing natural greenery to add to the whimsy. The bride's stunning loosely tucked and pinned updo by Wedding Sparrow favorite Sanni Sorma is fairytale-esque and we're head over heels for this embellished Lee Petra Grebenau gown! The heart behind this gorgeous English countryside wedding is one that inspired us, so read below from talented Julie Michaelsen....
From Julie Michaelsen Photography: "Our vision for this inspiration editorial came from the courtship between two cultures and heritages. A young Californian artist who marries into English aristocracy, at his family’s country manor in the Cotswolds. We wanted to marry the history of the old English countryside with the modern and glamorous free-spirited bride, to cater for the artisanal, romantic bride…The bride who strives embrace life as an adventure, will dance in the rain and with regards to her wedding; wants to bring nature indoors for a fresh and all sensorial experience at her wedding.
We wanted to give a nod to the pantone colour of the year whilst retaining a wild and imperfect theme through the floral design but also by contradicting the glamour of the blush wedding dress with the fresh flowers in the brides’ hair for their traditional church ceremony."
