1. It all starts with the right venue

Your venue sets the tone of your entire wedding so focus on finding one with European-inspired architecture and design, and everything else will fall into place.

2. Go big on fashion

Many European brides seem to manage that enviable feat of looking effortlessly stylish, liked they've barely tried yet look totally stunning. The key is going for a high fashion yet understated look, rather than all out glamour. For example, if your dress is detailed and embellished, go for loose undone waves with your hair; if your dress is pared back and simple, go for a chic updo. Understated elegance is all about creating a high-low look.

    4. Create a multi-layered color palette

Color is key in a fine art wedding and creating a dreamy wedding palette is key to achieving the laid-back yet elegant style we love. Rather than a simple two or three color scheme, play with tones and tints to create an interesting multi-layered look that flows from the stationery and tablescape to the flowers and fashion. Focus on natural colors and look for inspiration anywhere, such as a favourite painting or landscape that catches your eye.

    5. Add a historic feel with artisan details

Your invitation suite gives guests a first taster of what to expect from the wedding so focus on adding charming historical details like handmade paper and calligraphy to really give that old-world feel. Celebrate nature with patterns or hand-drawn illustrations, such as flowers, leaves, citrus fruits, figs or trees.
