With over 40 islands to explore, Turks and Caicos is a honeymoon destination with so much to experience, whether you're looking for all action and adventure or the ultimate in indulgence and relaxation. Discover five reasons why Turks and Caicos is the hot honeymoon destination for 2025.
1. Breathtaking beaches
This small chain of islands and tiny cays sits just south of the Bahamas, offering blissful beaches and a castaway feel. Some parts feel so secluded, it can feel like you're the only one there. The Turks and Caicos islands have the perfect white, powder sand beaches with a hint of pink. Check out 12-mile long Grace Bay Beach for a picture-perfect setting for sun-seekers and water enthusiasts, and Half Moon Bay, which is renowned for its pristine white sandy beaches and resident iguanas.
2. Excellent diving and snorkeling
The Turks and Caicos islands some of the world’s best snorkelling and diving, whether you’re a first-timer or an experienced diver. Situated on a plateau that rises more than 3,000 metres off the surrounding ocean floor, the islands are surrounded by pristine reef and incredible wildlife, including dolphins, sharks, sea turtles, jumping eagle rays and humpback whales.
3. Incredible seafood
As a small archipelago, it’s no surprise that seafood is the local cuisine of Turks and Caicos. You'll find plenty of conch, fish, and lobster cooked in both regional and international styles throughout the islands, with the greatest selection of restaurants found on the island of Providenciales.
Queen conch is the quintessential seafood of Turks and Caicos and the islands are one of the few destinations in the world where it can be found. Fresh fish is also a staple and common catches include snapper, grouper, tuna, mahi-mahi, wahoo, and mackerel.
4. Rest and relaxation
If you want to do a whole lot of nothing on honeymoon, Turks and Caicos offers the ultimate in rest and relaxation with an excellent rage of spas. So if lazing on a beach doesn't offer quite enough tranquility and well-being, head to the one of many spas to enter complete zen mode. Many of the larger luxury resorts have on-site spas and wellness centers, yet there are also many independent choices as well. Elegant Point Grace Resort is home to Thalasso Spa, Grace Bay Club has Anani Spa, Wymara Resort offers Exhale Spa, and the expansive Beaches all-inclusive resort offers their Red Lane spa. Spa Tropique is the largest independent spa, with several locations across the island of Provo.
5. Easy Access
Turks and Caicos is very easy to get to with plenty of regular flights. Jetblue and Southwest are both now flying into Providenciales (PLS) giving American Airlines some competition. Flying from Fort Lauderdale or Miami is a short 90 minute flight, while flying from New York is just over three hours. You can also fly on British Airways through Antigua when traveling from London.
