The Quintessential Spring Bouquet and a Romantic Wedding at Kestrel Park
Be still our hearts. Today's perfect spring wedding inspiration gives us musings in all aspects of the wedding: a heart stopping bouquet filled with distant drums (our favorite rose), a perfect relaxed braid, the most insane venue of Kestrel Park, and luminous film photographs by Mason Neufeld. From Mason Neufeld Photography: "Nestled in the rolling golden hills of the Santa Ynez valley is a secret garden that flaunts 100 acres of lush nooks & crannies including a lavender field reminiscent of the countryside in France. Kestrel Park is a versatile and simply stunning wedding venue that I find, as a wedding professional, a real treat to be able to experience.
Wearing a delicate gown of French lace from the sweetest ladies at Sweet Pea & Noelle, Maddy, who is coincidentally a real-life Disney Princess, and her love, Hunter, were thrilled to pose together as a newly married couple. These two were effortless to photograph, as they couldn’t stop showing their love for each other. Everything about the session was fairytale-esc. Lacey from 805 makeup completed Maddy’s look with such artistry. She incorporated soft pinks into her makeup to go along with the florals. Her long hair went into the prettiest braid, and Lacey then dusted it with delicate flowers. Maddy truly looked like a princess.
I have had the vision for this whimsical session for quite awhile now, so when it came time to bring it to fruition, I knew just how to go about planning. Because of this the process felt natural and everything seemed to just fall into place. I would say that staying true to your original vision, and keeping it simple, makes the planning process fly by with ease. My favourite element of the shoot was the uniqueness of the florals and how they complimented the overall scene.
Christy from Honey Comb Affair shared in my vision so perfectly. The bouquet was filled with Distant Drum Roses, one of the loveliest roses that blend a pale golden center to darker pink hues on their outer ruffled petals. Along side the roses were deep accenting Chocolate Cosmos flowers and raspberries, and surrounding the flowers was an assortment of delicate greenery. Golden Fern, Angel Vines, Jasmine and Heuchera leaves were just some of the hidden gems.
The shoot was everything pretty, delicate, and elegant. We put a twist on the classic pink palette by incorporating gentle, deep hues in the florals. Golden tones, plush greenery, and that California light married every corner of Kestrel Park together seamlessly. Overall this session is everything that our team aimed for, and we hope that you love it as much as we do!"
