Primavera - Italian Destination Wedding Inspiration with Erich McVey

We were thrilled to bring you the first part in the Pearl & Godiva with Erich McVey workshop in June and we spent most of the Summer swooning at the beauty. Pinning it, Instagramming it, just generally fawning over it and wishing we were back there learning from all the talented fine art vendors like Saipua (their floral talent! Uh!)… Inspired by Botticelli’s ‘Primavera – A Lesson for the Bride’, Pearl & Godiva wowed the attendees at the third Styling Pilgrimage. The painting shows Venus, the goddess of love and beauty, who is surrounded by the Three Graces. The Three Graces run an inviting thread throughout the editorials photographed by Erich McVey and florals from internationally renowned floral designers Saipua. Now we’re transported back to the ethereal Italian location with crumbling walls and surrounded by texture and color. The juxtaposition between the tulle from Delphine Manivet and the peeling stone chapel walls at La Badia di Orvieto is perfection. The marble-esque make up from Lara Navarrini Make Up makes these brides look like Italian sculptures. We cannot wait to travel to Corsica this year with Pearl & Godiva to watch them create again. Come join us in Autumn 2015 for our next Styling Pilgrimage, to take place in San Francescu, Corsica in September. In the historic surrounds there will be lots of time for both hands on styling and shooting for all attendees, with Pearl and Sheena imparting all our knowledge, tips and influences throughout the duration. The fee includes transfers, meals and lodging at the venue and course materials (except film).
