Midwestern Lake Bridals with a Coastal Feel
As if we needed another reason to love film photography, we are handed this stunningly beautiful and seemingly coastal inspiration by Natashia Nicole Photography... located in the Midwest. The light dances on the waves and the nearly white colored sand almost deceives you, telling a story of an ocean rather than a lake. We love the way film softens the colors and blends the two worlds seamlessly. The real star of this show, however, is that absolutely heart stopping Elizabeth Dye gown, one that has dominated our Pinterest boards for years (really!) and been a Wedding Sparrow favorite for quite some time...
Words by Natashia Nicole Photography: "In Wisconsin, the Great Lakes are the closet thing we have to the sea. There are some places in the Door Peninsula where it’s hard to tell the difference between Lake Michigan and the Pacific coast. Being landlocked, and with ocean dreams on our minds, we wanted to utilize Lake Michigan to bring to life a costal type shoot. We wanted to showcase the beauty of our great state, and the amazing places you can find if you look just around the next bend in the road.
Costal feeling sand dunes and amazing rock formations were the highlight of this shoot. We focused on natural and simple details as to not distract from the beauty around us. The natural textures, sand, rocks, and shells paired perfectly with the amazing grey Elizabeth Dye gown, and the muted color palette."
