Classic Destination Real Wedding in Paris

Sep 14, 2015 | Weddings
In a love story as romantic as they come: bride and groom elope in the City of Love and enjoy happy ever after. In what looked to have been an enchantingly timeless and classic wedding elopement, we are in love with the sweet words that this bride had to say about her groom on their wedding day and why they chose to enjoy just each other's company and close family members. Le Secret d'Audrey has a wonderful talent of capture the magic of Parisian beginnings, which is one reason that this bride chose to hire Audrey! From the elegant Christian Louboutin shoes to the glamorous Maggie Sottero gown… everything was stunning... From the bride: "Brandon and I met while attending law school in San Francisco, California. It was also in San Francisco, the Christmas after we graduated, that Brandon proposed. We began planning a traditional wedding, but were quickly overwhelmed when we realized the large number of guests we would have to invite. We then decided to have a destination wedding and I started researching our options. I came across a Paris elopement that Le Secret d'Audrey had photographed and instantly fell in love. I showed Brandon the images and asked what he thought about getting married in Paris. He was thrilled with the idea! It was the first time we were truly excited about planning our wedding. There is something so romantic about Paris that we knew it was the perfect place to have an intimate celebration. The first thing we did was book Audrey from Le Secret d'Audrey, since it was her photography and artistic vision that inspired our decision to marry in Paris. Next, we began working with Yanique Francis from Elope in Paris. She was absolutely wonderful to work with! She helped us select vendors and took care of all the planning. Once Audrey and Yanique were on board, wedding planning was a breeze. I definitely believe that a wedding planner is essential when planning a destination elopement, as it alleviated all the stress involved in the planning process. During the day of the wedding, I was more calm than I could ever imagine. Brandon and I spent the day leisurely getting ready. That evening, we were married at Square Jean XXIII, which is a public outdoor space behind Notre Dame. Our immediate family was there with us and many people stopped to watch us exchange our vows. Then, we rode around the city in a vintage car while Audrey photographed us against the beautiful Parisian backdrop. After we finished our pictures, our family gathered for dinner in a private dining room at Laperouse. At end of the night, Brandon and I were so happy with our decision to get married in Paris. By keeping things intimate, we were able to focus on each other and our commitment to our relationship as husband and wife."
