A Grey Outdoor Wedding in Santa Ynez
If you didn't already know: grey and gold gives us life. Alyssa and Austin's incredibly lovely organic Santa Ynez wedding checks all the boxes for us: a lovely outdoor location at Gainey Vineyard, subtle grey bridesmaid dresses, and classic tablescapes in tones of ivory and grey with pops of gold. Perhaps what we love even more than the remarkably pretty design is photographer Cavin's recollection of this very special day. Read below and let us know what you think!
From Cavin Elizabeth Photography: "Alyssa and Austin’s Gainey Vineyards wedding took place among the rolling hills of Santa Ynez. I had never been to the Santa Barbara area before traveling north for their wedding and I was utterly in love with the expansive landscapes filled with untouched pastures, lush vineyards, and gorgeous mountains. Under a large tree, Austin and Alyssa said their vows and had their first kiss as a married couple. The light streaming through the trees combined with the surrounding greenery made the space feel so intimate and private from the rest of the world. This truly was a stunning ceremony in which every guest was completely present in the moment (thanks in part to Alyssa’s instruction that the ceremony be unplugged – the best decision ever!). The reception featured textured white linens with grey napkins and a sprig of rosemary surrounding lush centerpieces full of neutral flowers. Gold and brass votives combined with gold flatware lent a pop of metallic to the tables. These details were perfectly classic with a hint of modern, timeless, and sophisticated yet relaxed – a wonderful look for a vineyard wedding in Santa Ynez."
