White rose wedding in North Carolina with bride DJ
Choosing your wedding venue is arguably themost important wedding decision as it greatly determines the overall experience and aesthetic of the day. We say trust your instincts and follow that feeling in your gut, just like Kaitlin and Caleb did when choosing the location for their stunning white rose wedding in North Carolina this spring.
“When looking for wedding venues, we wanted something that represented both of us and a place that would provide a unique experience for our guests," explains bride Kaitlin."Bear Lake Reserve was where we went to get away during COVID, and it’s where we decided to be married, so it checked the sentimental box.
"The castle is such a unique venue. It gives a nod to both of our Scottish heritage with incredible views of the mountains and has a very magical, mystical feel. We toured it, and thirty minutes later knew that’s where we would be married. Also, fun fact, much of the sand that makes up Florida beaches is quartz crystals from the Appalachian Mountains. I believe that’s why we have such a connection to western North Carolina.
"The inspiration for the aesthetic of our wedding was classic elegance in a laid back and comfortable way. I wanted all our decorations to feel timeless and to compliment the stunning natural area, but we also did a lot of non-traditional things that were personal to us. I wanted to create a unique experience that our guests would never forget.”
