Tranquil yet Modern White Wedding Ideas
If there was ever a wedding that would have me begging for a vow renewal, it would be this piece of pretty captured by Fine Art Curation member Studio Opia. A day complete planned by Lovely Time Weddings & Events with the perfect white bloom-filled archway, a decadent cake a la Jasmine Rae Cakes, it's enough to have any and every Bride inspired and/or asking for a reception re-do. See it all and more in the Gallery below...
From Lovely Time Weddings & Events: “Fluerography”, held in early February this year, was an inspiration shoot hosted by Lovely Time Wedding & Events and Angélica Fleurs. Setting at the beautiful villa of Montalvo Arts Center, the gather place for artists since built, the inspiration gathered many active and influential artists in the industry, including the renowned cake artist, Jasmine Rae and the photographer duo—Studio Opia, who beautifully captured this design. The inspiration consisted of a full wedding editorial and a small-scale bridal shoot, and both were designed with the foundation of the “Back to purity, back to simplicity” model.
We always believed the timeless beauty of the white wedding, and for this inspiration, we want to combine the simplicity, tranquility, and elegance of the color white with the exquisite, modern and sophisticated fine art design. The restrained color palette used mostly white, weakened the emotional influence caused by various colors, then it brought out the healing and soothing power. For the wedding ceremony, we wanted to create something breathable and transparent that would draw all the attention to the couple. To do this, we focused on choosing blooms that conveyed texture without being overwhelming, and we picked clear acrylic chairs. We envisioned a modern, minimal, artsy couple with elegant style. And for the accessories for the bride, only an exquisite headpiece was worn to show the effortless beauty of the bride herself. The reception seamlessly combined different materials and textures with the simplified color palette so that people’s senses would get most of these textures.
If the wedding editorial contained emotions, the small-scale style shoot was full of youth and passion. Angélica Fleurs brought us her signature floral umbrella, designed just for this style shoot. The flowers were whimsical and rustic. We could totally imagine Mary Poppins would return again with an umbrella like this one.
With the help of a wonderful team early this year before the COVID-19 and the tragedy to follow, we were so privileged to put together this beautiful inspiration to show our couples that a classic white wedding can be designed with such style and beauty and to find comfort, hope, peace and tranquility in the simplicity."
