Thailand Destination Wedding in a Minimalistic Villa on Koh Samui Island
Oh, to be a guest at this wedding. To have seat at the oceanfront ceremony, to sip champagne while the Thailand sun sets, and to gasp as you watch the bride and groom marry under a floral arch in the rain. Thanks to Fine Art Curation member CHYMO & MORE Photography we get to live vicariously through their images....
From CHYMO & MORE Photography: "Serenity, blue, cream, and tropical rain. These are the keywords for this Koh Samui destination wedding in Samujana Villas in Thailand. Marina and Hong flew in from Toronto with friends and family and held an intimate wedding weekend at their pool villa in February 2020.
Samujana Villas is a modern and minimalistic resort mixed with traditional Thai architecture style. Inspired by nature elements, it’s full of designs sourced from rock formations, cliffs, the coastline of the gulf, and tropical greeneries. It became the perfect backdrop for this intimate celebration. Ceremony was held by the pool, which, unexpectedly, got delayed by the heavy rain. Though the rain added an extra romantic touch to the wedding, as it was almost melancholic and poetic.
Reed Weddings designed a soft palette featuring blue and cream with a hint of blush, inspired by the bride’s inner little girl dreaming of her romantic tropical wedding with modern fine art details. The couple also had their reception setup by the pool with centerpiece arrangements by Lady Myron. Different pieces of foraged branches and leaves from around the venue were used as the place setting decor."
