Secret garden fairytale editorial in French mountain village
Imagine an overgrown secret garden coming to life as spring unfolds and you have the scene for today's stunning editorial from Fine Art Curation member Capucine Atelier Floral, in collaboration with LMD Conseils. It takes place at Maison des Païens, a charming little fairytale Renaissance-style house in the mountain village of La Petite Pierre, north eastern France. The muse floats around the ancient grounds in a striking ethereal gown from Stesha Ho, another Fine Art Curation member.
Floral designer Cécile from Capucine Atelier Floral explains the inspiration: "With its breathtaking view of the valley, the house was the main source of inspiration for us. It is a magical place and filled with high earth energy. It used to be a watchtower, then served as a retreat for writers and painters during the Romantic period."
A variety of pastel hues make up the spring palette, including yellow, blush pink, dusty blue, orange and purple. Cécile used an abundance of delicate seasonal garden flowers, featuring fritillaria, helebore, tulips, narcissi, ranunculus, lilac and spirea, captured in all their spring glory by photographer Harriette Earnshaw.
Flavia from LMD Conseils adds: "I was immediately inspired by German Romanticism and the literature of Goethe and Schiller. We love everything to do with romance, sweetness and escape! We hope you feel the same sweet and melancholic emotions that we do in these surroundings, like watching a runaway elope to something new."
