Provence Wedding Inspiration
Provence is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful regions on this planet. We've been fortunate enough to visit this area of France for various workshops and other travels - Provence has a way of leaving a lasting impression on you. You feel a renewed sense of inspiration to enjoy every minute of every day, taking time to be intentional about making every mundane task beautiful. You feel a desire to be sophisticated and open-minded.
Perhaps this is one reason we adore today's feature by Wedding Sparrow favorite, Rory Wylie, and styled by both Lisa and Franck of Wanderlust Wedding and Morgane of Big Day. Just this handful of frames fully encapsulates all that we remember of Provence: simplicity and sophistication. From the pale grey and blue tones in the stationery (by our fave Plume Calligraphy!) and tablescape to the blush colored gown for the bride... each feels natural and organic to the setting. Be sure to make a stop to read the inspiration behind today's post from each stylist...
From Morgane of Big Day: "Lisa, Franck and I wanted an elegant design, revealing Provence’s beauty and nature. We chose a neutral color palette mainly made of greens and whites. Then, I added some pink olive details and colors to show Provence can be different than lavender and olive branches, our beloved Provence can be revealed in so many ways. I picked elegant tableware and plates with small lavender lines. Organic stationery on linen napkins with a small rustic wire created a link between the elegant design and the very typical wooden chairs. I played with grey silk and silver accessories, to create an elegant and subtitle link between elements on the table."
From Lisa & Franck of Wanderlust Wedding: "This shoot was a way for us to bring forward the lovely Provence region, by showing its simplicity but also its elegance through a carefully decorated table, lovely blooms, a simple yet elegant pink dress, and refined stationary, we also wanted to bring forward the stationary as it is such an important part of the wedding, the first glimpse guests will have into the wedding day which represents the atmosphere of the day. The choice of the vendors was very natural to us, we love their amazing work, an dthey all corresponded with what we had in mind - refinement, delicacy and attention to detail.
We wanted to use neutral colors for the flowers, and Morgane from Big Day created gorgeous arrangements made of white flowers, greenery, and a glimpse of olive sprigs, and also a beautiful table design. While the beauty of Le Petit Hameau de St Remy spoke for itself, representing Provence perfectly."
