Intimate Real Wedding in Australian Wine Region
After their plans to wed in Italy in 2020 were canceled, Ashleigh and James brought a taste of Italian romance to Adelaide. The couple tied the knot on the lawn of a fairytale cottage in the heart of the Adelaide wine region, celebrating with exquisite local wines and an Italian-inspired feast cooked by Masterchef finalist, Andre Ursini. Together with their closest friends and family, the couple danced late into the night in a secluded woodland full of twinkling lights. What's not to love?
Katie Grant captured the intimate ceremony, which took place at Villetta Porchini, a culinary experience set in eight hectares of forest, gardens, butterflies and fungi in the heart of the Adelaide Hills. It sounds just like a fairytale right? It was truly a magical setting for an outdoor Australian wedding, which together with the exceptional food and drink meant it certainly didn't feel like their second choice of wedding.
Elegant bride Ashleigh wore a beautifully beaded floor length gown by Lee Grebenau, with sweetheart neckline and draped tulle sleeves. She finished her look with with a statement trailing veil and exquisite Cartier pear diamond ring.
Floral designer Adelaide Flower House created a relaxed feel for the flowers, full of warm shades and soft textures. Ashleigh carried a gorgeous natural hand-tied posy of seasonal blooms, including daliha, roses and Queen Anne's Lace.
A lush flower arch stood at the head of the aisle, adding to the fairytale vibe and creating a special sense of occasion for their small celebration. The woodland setting and romantic styling created the perfect backdrop for Ashleigh and James to feast and celebrate with their loved ones under the autumnal Australian sky.
